Hunter House — Master Ensuite Renovation

A carefully planned renovation focused on layout, light, and build-ready detail.

Enhancing Light and Spatial Quality

This project focused on reworking the master ensuite to improve layout, functionality, and natural light.

Skylights were introduced to transform the space, alongside a refined material palette and detailed documentation to support construction.

Extending Natåural Light Beyond the Ensuite

The introduction of skylights and sun tunnels extended beyond the ensuite, bringing natural light into the adjoining hallway and improving the overall sense of space and flow within the home.

Refined Layout and Build-Ready Detailing

  • Reconfigured the layout to improve flow and usability

  • Introduced skylights to bring natural light into the space

  • Selected a cohesive palette of durable, high-quality finishes

  • Developed detailed, builder-ready documentation to support construction

Refined Material Selection

Material selections were carefully considered to balance durability with a refined, cohesive finish — ensuring the space performs as well as it looks.

Considered Detailing

Every detail was carefully resolved to ensure the space functions seamlessly in everyday use.

The recessed shower niche was designed and proportioned to integrate cleanly within the tiling layout — maintaining visual continuity while providing practical, accessible storage.

It’s these small, deliberate decisions that elevate the overall outcome — where function, finish, and precision come together without disruption.

Reworking Layout and Light

The existing ensuite presented an opportunity to improve both layout and light — resulting in a more functional, resolved space.

Clarity Before Construction

A considered approach to planning and documentation ensured the project moved into construction with clarity — reducing uncertainty and supporting a smoother, more coordinated build.

Every decision was resolved early, from layout and lighting through to material selections and detailing, allowing the builder to work with confidence and precision on site.

This is where the value of design extends beyond aesthetics — creating a clear, buildable outcome that minimises delays, reduces variations, and supports a more efficient construction process.
