Hospitality Concept — Sydney
Gather
Gather is a two-level hospitality concept.
The proposal explores spatial flow, material restraint, and the ritual of coming together through food and space.
Design Intent
A hospitality concept centred on flow, gathering, and spatial clarity.
Gather is a two-level hospitality concept.
The design explores how people move, pause, and connect within a dining environment — prioritising intuitive circulation, spatial hierarchy, and moments of gathering across both levels.
Rather than focusing on surface aesthetics alone, the project is driven by experience: how space supports social interaction, operational efficiency, and a sense of belonging.
Spatial Strategy
Program zoning and vertical organisation
The spatial strategy for Gather is organised around clarity of movement and functional zoning, ensuring both guests and staff experience intuitive circulation throughout the venue.
Public, semi-public, and back-of-house zones are clearly defined, allowing dining, service, and transition spaces to operate efficiently while maintaining a seamless guest experience across both levels.

Atmosphere & Experience
Shaping mood, materiality, and the guest journey
Interior and exterior visualisations explore the atmosphere and experiential qualities of Gather, focusing on how materiality, light, and spatial sequencing shape the guest journey.
The design prioritises warmth, tactility, and clarity, creating layered dining environments that feel considered, grounded, and inviting across both levels.
