The Bower | Manly
A coastal cafe designed for movement, stillness and connection
Tucked into the natural rhythm of Manly’s coastline, The Bower embraces the concept of freedom—freedom of movement, of light, of living. Guided by the idea of a lightness of being, the design balances grounded materials with spatial softness. Natural textures, timber, and filtered light define the home’s identity, creating a retreat that feels both expansive and serene.

Full height glazing opens the cafe to sea breeze ad natural light, grounded by soft timber tones and coastal calm.

The abstract seed of a concept: fragile, dynamic and full of movement.

Freedom expressed open space, depth and fluid lines.

Organic spatial flow - anchored but unbound

Material palette - Natural textures with muted blue and timber.

As evening settles, the cafe glows from within - its warm interior spilling into the coastal landscape.
